With yet another performance full of turnovers, it’s fair to ask whether or not the Houston Texans should bench quarterback Tom Savage. The problem is, I don’t think T.J. Yates is any better.
Unfortunately for Savage and the Texans, if he did a better job of protecting the football and not making dumb decisions, they probably would have knocked off the Baltimore Ravens.
But Savage’s poor decisions and spotty accuracy doomed Houston.
In all fairness to Savage, the Texans’ offensive line is really bad. But he would be better off taking a dive and allowed the opposing defense to sack him, rather than throwing the ball into traffic, which then leads to interceptions.
