INDIANAPOLIS — A buzz coursed through the media room Wednesday at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center as Colts general manager Chris Ballard made a surprise appearance at the podium.
"The sky is not falling," Ballard joked as reporters scurried into their seats.
That might be in the eye of the beholder.
Ballard announced quarterback Andrew Luck has received a cortisone shot for soreness in his surgically repaired right shoulder and will not practice this week.
There's no timetable for the length of this shut down, but it's obviously a significant setback for a player who has been rehabbing since undergoing surgery for a partially torn labrum in January.
