The Texans’ offense has been electric over the past five weeks as they have averaged a staggering 39 points per game since Week 3. The Texans have scored 19 passing touchdowns through their first seven games. Houston had only 15 touchdowns through the air all of last season.
Rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson, who took over for Tom Savage at halftime of the Texans’ opener against Jacksonville, is the biggest reason for the offensive turnaround in Houston. The rookie out of Clemson has thrown for almost 1,700 yards on the season.
Unfortunately for the Texans, Watson reportedly tore his ACL in his practice this week and will be out for the remainder of the season.
