According to Jason La Canfora, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was the only owner during the recent league meeting to rail against the players who have been kneeling or staying in the locker room during the national anthem.
A source tells La Canfora, Jones expressed his feeling several times in a “firm and forceful” manner, but restrained and not over the top.
“Jerry made it clear he wants that enforced and wants the NFL to compel all players to stand,” an executive present in the meeting tells La Canfora.
Jones also expressed concern that the league wasn’t more proactive about anthem protests dating back to last year.
